Film Sample Clamp

Heated Syringe System
Heated enclosure housing an inter-changeable syringe with a
micrometer syringe drive to provide dispensing control.

temperature
Oversized Stage Assembly
For samples which are too long or too wide to fit in the standard stage.
Maximum analysis area is 150mm x 150 mm.
Application
- Silicon wafers up to 200 mm in diameter.
- Analysis of samples exceeding the limitation of the Base VCA.
Motorized Syringe System
Computer controlled automatic dispensing system which replaces the
standard syringe for programmable liquid volume dispensing.

Tilting Base Assembly
A cradle and supporting base platform to tilt the entire VCA unit.
Application
For dynamic (advancing/receding) contact angle investigation to tilt
the sample so liquid droplet will deform, creating an advancing contact
angle and a receding contact angle at the trailing edge.
Optical Shutter Assembly
Mounted to the illumination source to provide selective attenuation of
either top or back illumination.
AutoFAST Imaging
Software
Automatic droplet image
capture and calculation of the
contact angle without user
intervention. An image export
function allows for printout,
documentation and export to
other programs.
Calculation Software
Image display, capture and
contact angle calculation
through video image
processing. Graphical or
numerical results can be

SE-2000 Surface Energy
(dyne/cm) Software
Surface energy calculation of
an unknown solid substrate in
dynes/cm based on the contact
angles of multiple known
liquids. Three calculation
methods are available for user
selection: Geometric Mean
Theory, Harmonic Mean
Theory and Acid-Base Theory.
SPC (Statistical Process
Control) Software
Automatic recording of droplet
characteristics in an
easy-to-use chart with instant
calculation of statistical values.
Data can be saved and exported
to other programs for further
