Contact Angle Surface Analysis Systems
The VCA-2000™ series instruments are easy-to-set-up systems with
precise video image capture and computerized analysis capabilities.
These systems provide critical surface information quickly and
accurately for laboratory and industrial R&D, quality control, and
process engineering needs.
The VCA-2000 Systems produce quantitative measurement of the
surface through video contact angle analysis. The contact angle is
defined by the tangent created at the interface of a liquid droplet with a
solid substrate (gas/liquid/solid interfaces can also be analyzed). It is
directly related to the phenomenon of surface energy which is a critical
factor for adhesive bonding, cleanliness evaluation, biocompatibility,
surface engineering analysis, and wettability investigations.
