
VCA-4000™ Surface Analysis Systems for Flat Panel Display
The VCA-4000 series let you detect organic contamination problems
before the panels go into further processing. They present the easiest
method available for analyzing surface cleanliness with quick and
accurate results. Large panel size acceptance allows non-destructive
analysis.
VCA-4000 series applications include:
- Determining the cleanliness of panels prior to processing
- Coating assessment of critical HMDS priming
- Adhesive and primer preparation

The VCA-4000 systems determine the cleanliness of panels through
contact angle analysis. A droplet of liquid is dispensed under computer
control onto the panel surface. A CCD camera with high magnification
lens and fiber optic light source allow the droplet profile to be imaged
into the computer. Through computer image analysis, surface
cleanliness is determined by measuring the contact angle of the droplet
on the panel surface.
