CA-X Contact Angle Meters

The Tantec FACE CA-X series meters bring highly repeatable contact angle measurements and detailed surface energy Model CA-X200 Specimen Holderanalysis to users in a simple-to-use, fully integrated package. These contact angle meters can be used for evaluating the surface energy for adhesion, determining the hydrophobic and hydrophilic nature of the surface, surface cleanliness and liquid absorption rates.

By simply clicking on both edges and the apex of the droplet displayed on the large 14" monitor, the image capture hardware and the integrated software combine to give you the contact angle measurement in less than a second.

This eliminates potential sources of human error in measurement. Not only are contact angles printed out real-time but statistical data are summarized and printed out for documentation of results. Curvature correction on curved surfaces such as lenses can also be made.

Contact angle can be measured as a function of time with programmable intervals for maximum flexibility.

Standard CA-X Image Processing Package Includes:
Contact Angle Meter, track ball, printer, color monitor, spare lamp, 5 glass syringes, 5 stainless steel needles, level, spare fuse, dustcover, 3 reams of printer paper, (3) standard droplets for system calibration and checking.

Optional Accessories Include:
Video Printer: image of the monitor can be copied for technical reports and papers.
Parts for 3 state method: for measuring the contact angle of a bubble or liquid surrounded by a liquid droplet.
Constant Temperature Vessels: Room temperature to 374 deg F (190 deg C) , 50 to 158 deg F (+10 to 70 deg C) or room temperature to 716 deg F (380 deg C) vessels available.
Hot/Cold Water circulator bath
Automatic Liquid Dispenser: remote control of the supply water via the track ball switch. Ideal for QC measurements.
Surface Free Energy Analysis Software: Software package to determine total surface free energy, dispersion, polar, hydrogen bond, adhesive work and interface free energies. PC operating Windows 3.1 or Windows 95, 16MB memory required.
