The Falex High Speed-High Temperature Bearing Test Machine offers versatility and operational simplicity. This test apparatus was designed to evaluate greases for extended periods of ball bearing operation under light loads, high speed and elevated temperatures.
 
The standard apparatus is designed with 2 completely independent "MRC" axially loaded test spindles. These spindles rotate two SAE No. 204 ball bearings; at 10,000 or 20,000 revolutions per minute under light loads. Other ASTM approved spindle designs can be provided at additional costs.
 
The instrumentation console supplied for each spindle housing gives the operator the capability to control the chamber temperature from ambient to 371¡Æ (700¡Æ F). Torque, specimen and chamber temperatures are digitally displayed giving instantaneous readouts. Starting and stopping is controlled by two digital timers. Additionally, there is a total system elapsed time indicator.
 
The Falex High Speed-High Temperature Test machine can provide the necessary accuracy to obtain reliable test data as outlined in ASTM D 3336. Falex Corporation has been the leading builder of friction, wear and abrasion testing equipment for over 60 years.

Speed:
 
Dual range at 10,000 and 20,000 revolutions per minute under light loads.
 
Load:
 
Axial Thrust Load: 5-15 lbs. (22-67N) applied on the floating outboard bearing using a finger spring washer per ASTM D 3336.
Radial Test Load: 15lbs (67N) applied by motor and belt per ASTM D 3336.
 
Temperature:
 
Maximum heater chamber temperature of 371¡Æ C (700¡Æ F). Controlled with type "J" temperature controller. Additionally, digital bearing temperature indicator with high/low test duration cut off.
 
Test Time:
 
Includes digital test duration on and off timers. System total elapsed time indicator. All instrumentation is per station.
 
Motor:
 
Two 1¨ö HP single phase AC drive motor with thermal protection.
 
Torque:
 
Digitally displayed with high and low cut off.
 
Spindle:
 
Type "MRC" (full floating spindle) as described in ASTM D 3336.
 
Cabinet:
 
Heavy construction steel with both electro/mechanical stations combined n a modern desk type design with safety interlocking.
